Man of your dreams

“You are likely to meet the man of your dreams” is what the Astrology section for my sun sign read one morning. I am sure most of you are the kinds who go to the doorstep early in the morning to fetch the day’s newspaper to learn the happenings around. I must say I am also one of the kind, but with a little difference. I fetch the morning paper, religiously hand over the main paper to my dad and take the supplement with me to my room. The only thing I look at is the astrology section. If someone asks me “Do you believe in astrology?” I would jump up and say “Nay…all that is nonsense, and not practical”. Of course I don’t stop reading this section though. This was one such day. I parked my bike in the parking lot in my office –I call my Kinetic Honda a bike, I walked towards the door to swipe my ID card in the security zone, I felt a little vibration in my bag, my phone was ringing. Some of my all time favorite one liners !!! Did it hurt? ("Did what hurt?") When you fell out of heaven. Did you know they changed the alphabet? They put U and I together. Can I borrow that quarter? Because my mom told me to call home when I fell in love. What's wrong? You're looking a little sad and gloomy. What you need is some vitamin me. Are your legs tired? Because you been running through my mind ALL day long. Are you lost? Because it's so strange to see an angel so far from heaven. What's that in your eye? Oh...it's a sparkle. Can I see that label? I just wanted to know if you were made in heaven. Could I get some directions? ("To where?") To your heart. I wish I was one of your tears, so I could be born in your eye, run down your cheek, and die on your lips.

The woods were lovely dark and deep , the wind brushed her hair and a little whisper kissed her ears as she walked carelessly. She forced herself to listen to a faint sound in the distance, which grew stronger as she walked ahead. Once or twice she took a step back, scared to loose her way in the midst of discovering the source of this disturbing sound. A few more yards she crossed and started to hum a familiar tune. A smile crossed her face... a hope ran through her spine, more than one thought at a time forced her to take two steps instead of one. She knew for sure it could not be a stranger humming the tune, for this was the song her mother composed while she taught her how to walk the first few steps of life. When she learnt to walk without holding her mother's hand she sang the song to lead her brother through the roads of
